The Rocky Doserless Grinder allows you to grind and dispense any amount of coffee into whatever container you’d like; any espresso machine port filter or drip coffee basket, etc. A flip of the switch will begin the grinding process and immediately ground coffee will flow down the coffee chute until you turn it off. Simple, easy, reliable.
The Stainless steel version has a stainless steel back panel and base with a heavy-duty black case aluminum frame. The Black & White has a black plastic base and back cover with a with heavy-duty white aluminum frame. This grinder uses a "chute" instead of a doser traditionally found on semi-commercial grinders. A retaining fork holds your portafilter handles as you grind directly into it. A doserless grinder will reduce wasted and staled coffee by grinding only what you need. No coffee is left behind.
The Rancilio Rocky Coffee Grinder has 55 Grind settings, ranging from coarse French press to ultra-fine Turkish. To change settings, just push down on a release lever and turn the bean hopper. Rocky’s powerful 166-watt direct drive motor has 1,725 RPM reduction. This ensures that the ground coffee does not burn and also makes it a very quiet and robust grinder. The motor is outfitted with a high temperature overload sensor switch to prevent possible damage if a stone or any other similar particle gets caught in the burrs accidently.
